Voici une superbe boîte à thé de forme cubique, en bois clair verni, d'une belle couleur miel, chaque face peinte à la main en polychromie de costumes Suisses des différents cantons, très frais de couleur. Couvercle à charnière, découvrant un second couvercle décoré, intérieur garni d'étain, avec un tas pour serrer le thé. Charmant objet du début du XIXe siècle, très gai.... Costumes des cantons de Zug, Uri, Lauterbrunnen, St Gall, Neuchatel, Grison....
Etat, très joli à voir, quelques usures au vernis, pas d'autre défaut pour cet objet de près de 200ans d'âge....

Here is a rare travel tea caddy, built in a rectangular shape, outside made from hand painted light wood, hand painted in polychromy of Swiss traditional costumes on a yellow background, inside tined. Opening it, inside cover is finely decorate with Swiss costumes, in the highest quality. Original patina, lacquer is fresh, pleasant to see, with wear traces: this box has been used ans is a rare collection item.
